Quick Search - Places Database

The Places Database allows you to search for places listed on the State Register of Heritage Places, which is managed by the Heritage Council of WA. There are more than 1,300 places listed on the State Register, including buildings, structures, gardens, cemeteries, landscapes and archaeological sites.

The Places Database also includes heritage places listed on local government heritage inventories, Commonwealth heritage lists and the List of Classified Places managed by the National Trust of Australia (WA), or included in surveys and studies. If you wish to search for places in the State Register only, please click on the State Register of Heritage Places button otherwise the search will default to the entire database.

To learn more about the State Register and other types of heritage listing, visit the State Register page.

If you want to view an entry on the State Register spatially, please visit Landgate's SLIP Enabler page. This page provides access to WA Atlas which enables you to locate and view the geographical location of each registered place. It is advisable to click on the How to Use WA Atlas link prior to accessing WA Atlas. The link is situated just below the WA Atlas icon. You can read HCWA's own instructions for finding Registered Places in WA Atlas by clicking here.

To see the current Gazette Notices posted by the Heritage Council of Western Australia, please visit the Gazette Notices page.

Please note that heritage listing does not make the place available for public access.
